Nichols wins the Nobel Peace Prize at school

Each year the school gives out prizes and this year Nicholas won the Peace Prize in his class.

Nikolaus visits Lilldalsvägen

Following the German tradition, Nikolaus visits our house on the 6th of December. He delivers small presents which are found in a boot by the door, very much anticipated by our children who see this as the starting point for the Christmas festivities.

Liam's Birthday Go-karting

Time for Liam to celebrate his birthday ontrack with his mates at an outdoor Go-karting track. 6 of them had a great time, even though the track was wet. Plenty of spins and loads of fun!

 Liam's wish was for money this year, as he's saving up for some new equipment for his home racing setup. Anyway some packets and a cake!

New recipe this year made with tomato's from the balcony. Made seven and a half jars.

Repairs on the lower balcony, before and after.

Some rotten planks and supporting beams under the lower balcony caused by the previous owners bad idea to include a kids sandpit in it. I eventually decided it was better to open it up and only repair the damaged parts.

   

X-ray for sprained ankle for Nicholas.

Nicholas needed an X-ray for his foot, but the doctor says its only a sprained ankle, so he will manage with a bandage. He's hopping around the house as he cant put any weight on it for now.

Happy Birthday to Nicholas while we are at our summer cottage this year.

Birthday lunch at a local cafe, in the middle of a thunder storm!

Our holiday cottage in Harkskär near Gävle

We've rented this cottage in a small coastal village of Harkskär just 15 min. drive north of Gävle in Sweden. We have it for a week in the summer of 2020 when COVID-19 means staying in Sweden is the norm. Its a lovely old house with space for us all and a super location on a very small island by the sea.

Super time on the water here with everyone getting quite good with a paddle in the 2 canoes which belong to the house.
