Skiing in Tandådalen, Sälen

 A new location for skiing in the Sport-week holiday with friends. This year we found an apartment in Tandådalen, Sälen, which is about 450km North-west of Stockholm. Its a 5-hour drive for us and this year it was snow covered ground all the way. We booked Saturday to Wednesday, giving us almost 5-days of skiing. The apartment overlooked the main skiing hills and was well equipped with adequate space for all 11 of us from the 3-famalies staying together. The weather changed from day to day, but was always around the -6 to -10 C and the snow was great with very little ice.

Wood clearing behind the house

 The land owners who own the woods behind our house have been clearing and thinning the woods. Some pictures and a video of them taking down the largest pine tree just inside the edge of our garden. You can see it had some damage inside at the base, so good we had this one taken down at the same time.

Winter Snow

 We had up to 32cm of snow in January this year, and cold too, often -15C.
