Nicholas 8th Birthday

Happy Birthday to Nicholas while we are at our summer cottage this year.

Our holiday cottage in Harkskär near Gävle

We've rented this cottage in a small coastal village of Harkskär just 15 min. drive north of Gävle in Sweden. We have it for a week in the summer of 2020 when COVID-19 means staying in Sweden is the norm. Its a lovely old house with space for us all and a super location on a very small island by the sea.

Super time on the water here with everyone getting quite good with a paddle in the 2 canoes which belong to the house.

Here is Neela and Nicholas on a sunny day down by one of the lakes in Rönninge. Its just a 10min ride fro our house and the water was over 20 degrees that day.

Emelie has arrived

So this was the day that our planned new dog, called Emelie arrived. Unfortunately she turned out not to be a good match for us as she had some temperament issues and we were able to arrange for her move on to another family. Hope we get a better match next time!
