New compost for the garden

OK, here we go with a new compost which will use food waste and garden waste to generate soil for the garden, we hope!

Caroline Birthday

Neela made a lovely birthday cake for Carolines 48th birthday today. 

Zoe and Ross visit us in Sweden

 Geat to have my sister Zoe and Ross over to visit us in Sweden. Its been a while since Zoe was last over and even longer since Ross was in Sweden. Great to have them staying with us. The kids liked it too and the chance for family time with them. We visited Stendörren with them out by the coast and had a nice walk and picnic on a small island. Also attended an event here in Rönninge with music and a bonfire to celebrate Valborgsmässoafton. A great family gathering with lunch on our balcony.

 Early warm weather around Easter this year ment we could sit outside with friends and enjoy traditional German Easter cake.

This year was another trip to Branäs in Sweden, but with a change to the group. Now 3 families staying together, but only the dads and children this year. So it was me with Liam, Neela and Nicholas, plus Linus with their two and Tobias with their two, making 10 in all. We stayed in the same 10 bed apartment building with a super view out over the slopes. Everyone had a great week and good weather and fun skiing and boarding together in various groups.

So I calculate that this much wood is what we need per year. So this load should be fine and dry in time for next winter. Just need to remember to start again before the end of the year.

Christmas and opening presents

Here we are opening presents on Christmas day. 

Emma and her family came too. Unfortunatly Hannah was sick with a bug and so could not join us this year. We had a turkey dinner and all the trimmings. Only the cake was missing as I had only got as far as the marzipan topping. We ate that on another day.
